The basic features of your Smart GSM phone are the following:
1. Call Transfer - Used in conjuction with Call Waiting / Call Hold . Allows you to transfer calls to a third party, then drop out of the call after the transfer . Transfer may be announced or unannounced.
2. Voicemail - Allow subscribers to receive voice messages from callers when your cellphone is: Off, Busy, Outside the Coverage Area, or Unanswerable by 5 rings. A text message will alert subscribers of every new voice message. It also allows subscribers to automatically return the call to their caller, during or after the message is played.
3. Caller Display - Displays the phone number of your caller on the screen of your SMART Mobile phone.
4. Teleconferencing - Used in conjunction with Call Waiting to allow simultaneous 6-way (subsscriber + 5 pax) conversation.
5. Emergency Calls - Gives you fast access to emergency services such as hospitals / medical assistance, police stations, and fire departments by dialing a single number on your mobile phone.
6. Call waiting/call hold - Allows you to keep one caller on the line ("on hold") while you make or take a second call, without losing the first call.
7. Call forwarding - Divert all incoming calls to another number, whether mobile or landline. This works for all calls to your phone, if your phone is busy, or when you don't want to screen your calls.
8. Call barring - It protects yourself from overseas call charges by preventing overseas calls from being made on your cellphone. Activation is automatically available through handset.
9. Text messaging - Allows you to send and receive text messages to and from other GSM subscribers. You can send text messages to subscribers whose phones might be in use or who are in places not conducive to conversation. You can also receive important messages quietly and unobtrusively.
10. Multi-media messaging service - Allows SMART GSM subscribers to send and receive messages that combine text, sound and colored picture greetings and have fun with animated toons, as you hear your favorite tunes blast through your cellphones. 11. Voice Text - It is a person to person voice messaging service which allows Smart subscribers to send a 30 second voice message. It is a more personal and expressive way to connect with your friends and family without the need for an expensive voice call. It is cheaper than a voice call and more personal than a text message. 12. WAP - It makes life more convenient by giving you quick interactive access to the information you need from the Internet thru a single gateway. Download news, send and receive e-mails, and chat in real-time with friends worldwide.
13. Mobile data and fax - The Mobile Data / Fax feature allows you to make wireless data and fax calls over the SMART Gold GSM network. With this feature, you can send and receive fax messages, connect to and surf the Internet, send and receive company mail, and do other data applications.
14. Voice Email - A service that allows a subscriber to send a "talking" email from any phone to any email account. The service works by associating a specific email address to a voicetxt number. By calling a voicetxt number and speaking a message, the service will deliver an audio email attachment to an email address. The email recipient only has to open the attachment to hear the message. The email recipient can reply via SMS to the voicetxt sender. Email delivery is charged the standard P2.50/ message rate.
